KEMP Technologies offloads the LoadMaster 2400 in South Africa

The LoadMaster 2400 Addresses Growing Demand for Scalable, Secure Web Applications

KEMP Technologies today announced the availability of the LoadMaster 2400 to the South African market, the newest addition to KEMP’s hardware load balancer portfolio. As more web-based applications are being deployed, the demand for scalable and secure application delivery has risen. The LM 2400’s improved SSL acceleration engine and increased throughput delivers on this need with support for 1,000 SSL transactions per second and 1.2 Gbps throughput.

The LM 2400 intelligently and efficiently manages web traffic distribution among physical and virtual servers to ensure end users receive optimal application performance and user experience.

The LM 2400 is an essential component to include for high availability of critical application infrastructures with diverse application delivery and load balancing needs. Combing the latest advancements in Layer 4 and Layer 7 application delivery technology, the LM 2400 delivers application optimization, server load balancing, SSL acceleration and Layer 7 content switching for up to 1,000 servers and 256 virtual clusters.

The LM 2400 is an advanced, 4GbE-port server load balancing and Layer-7 content switching appliance that provides 99.999% availability of application servers and removes single points of failure.  The server hardware and application health checking guarantees user requests are only directed to healthy servers and applications.

For an Optimized user Experience – Layer 4 and Layer 7 session affinity delivers users continuous connections to the individual endpoint where their transaction data is available, even if the IP address changes during use.  Layer 7 content switching allows site administrators to optimize server traffic based on given requests.

The LM-2400’s SSL acceleration delivers enhanced user experience and system performance for encrypted application content by managing SSL-related functions of secured workloads.

Peter Melerud, EVP of Product Management at KEMP Technologies, says, “The LoadMaster 2400 represents our continued commitment to deliver entry level models designed to meet the increasingly demanding needs of small and medium business applications.”

George Zervos, EMEA Sales Director, KEMP Technologies, says emerging businesses in South Africa and Africa are aware of the value of advanced Load Balancing infrastructure and how this can transform operations.

”This latest release brings to the fore Enhanced Application Layer Capabilities to deliver high performance with improved SSL performance,” Zervos adds. ”Ultimately it is about sustaining the highest levels of performance and optimisation in business – key to being competitive in this environment.”   For more information on KEMP’s LoadMaster 2400 go to http://kemptechnologies.com/server-load-balancing-appliances/loadmaster-2400/overview
