What are the latest trends you are witnessing in your line of business?

Digital is in the process of reshaping healthcare. Patients are no longer passive, they are active consumers. Consumers insist on choice and transparency. They also take to the web to share their experiences, which has forced medical professionals to improve their understanding of the web.  Online availability isn’t optional for clinics, it’s here, though many are slow to adapt.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Coming to work! We have over 60 people working at WhatClinic and that is set to double. As a start-up that is making a difference to real people, every day is a new challenge, especially as we grow into more and more markets.

What is your favourite personal gadget?

I should probably say something about wearable tech here – it is the future of personal healthcare and the opportunities for every vertical within the sector are extraordinary, but the everyday gadget I couldn’t do without is my coffee machine.
