Decision Inc. giving back on Mandela Day

Decision Inc. did its part in commemorating Mandela Day by helping prepare more than 2 500 mobile vegetable garden kits as part of an outreach programme run by the Feed a Child initiative.

“Feed a Child believes in sustainability and encouraging its projects to grow their own vegetables. As a responsible corporate citizen, Decision Inc. is proud to have been involved in such an amazing initiative that benefits so many children and households with a way that contributes to them feeding themselves for the future,” says Nick Bell, CEO of Decision Inc.

Decision Inc. client Starke Ayres donated the 500 seedlings the company used on the day to build the mobile kits that involved using toilet rolls and two litre plastic bottles. Decision Inc. staff spent Wednesday and Thursday afternoon preparing the kits. Additionally, some of the staff were on hand to volunteer and continue building kits at the Feed a Child event hosted in Centurion on Friday.

“The opportunity to give back to others on Mandela Day provided us with a wonderful platform to help those less fortunate,” says Bell. “The initiative also aids recycling by using 10 000 toilet rolls that are biodegradable in the creation of the kits.”
